THE A30 Westbound near the Colliford lake turning was closed for several hours on December 2 following a two car collision.

Two people were injured, including a teenage girl, as a result of the crash, which saw both vehicles end up off the road with one on its side.

The teenager was later taken to hospital as a precaution.

Police, ambulance and fire crews attended this incident.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson confirmed: “This was a two car collision, reported at 4.35pm on December 2, on the A30 at Bolventor, Launceston [by Colliford lake turning].

“Both cars ended up off the road with one on its side.

“Two people were injured — one man and a teenage girl. Both minor injuries.

“The girl was taken to hospital as a precaution.

“The westbound carriageway was closed. One lane reopened at 5.50pm. Road clear by 7.50pm.”
