A MAN has died after a house fire in Launceston in the early hours of Easter Monday, April 2.

Police and firefighters were called to Penhole Drive in the early hours of Monday morning. The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were notified at around 3am on Monday, April 2 to a property on Penhole Drive in Launceston.

"Fire Services were also in attendance following reports of a fire within the property.

"A man was located within the property and was later pronounced deceased.

"The death is currently being treated as non-suspicious and a file has been prepared for the coroner."
