THE Lions of Holsworthy have been busy over the Christmas period supporting their local community and spreading festive cheer.

They gave away soup in the Square during the Christmas Fayre, visited the local estates to give out sweets to local children and a coffee morning.

Lion Andy King said: “We have been giving away free soup at Holsworthy Christmas Fayre. Thank you for the White Hart donating the excellent soup.

“We had a Father Christmas evening where we went around the estates of Holsworthy giving the children sweets. It was a great success and wonderful to see the children’s faces. Thanks also to the volunteers evolved as well as Lions.

“And thirdly we had a coffee morning at the Memorial Hall which was a great success even in COVID times.”
