A TOWN council called the situation ‘very disappointing’ after reporting that two of its planters had been stolen.

Bude-Stratton Town Council made a public statement after it discovered two of its planters based outside of the Parkhouse Centre had been removed during the night.

The statement made on May 15, expressed the council’s frustration

A spokesperson for the town council said: “Plants were stolen overnight from the planters outside the Parkhouse Centre just hours after they had been planted.

“This is very disappointing for the team who worked hard to improve the area for everyone to enjoy.

CCTV is being reviewed and any relevant footage will be passed to the appropriate authorities. Please help us look after shared public spaces and report any suspicious behaviour.”
