A NEW fast and fun way to play football is arriving at 1610 centres across the South West with the new bubble suits that make up the hilarious new game of Zorb football.

Competitors in this fun version of the beautiful game simply slip on a bubble suit or ‘Body Zorb’ and split into teams and ‘barge’ their way to scoring a goal.

Zorb football is now available at the 1610 centre in Holsworthy, as well as Torridge and Torrington.

1610 leisure centres at Trinity Sports and Leisure in Bridgwater, Castle Sports Centre in Taunton and Glastonbury Leisure Centre also offer the activity.

Trinity Sports Centre and Castle Sports Centre will focus on Zorb football just for children, but adults will be able to join in the Zorb football fun at the other participating 1610 centres.

Zorb football was launched at 1610 Stanchester Centre last year and proved to be a great success.

1610 General Manager Matt Harras said that Zorb Football is proving to be a very popular activity and demand for it is growing: “We are always looking for new ways at 1610 to encourage people to get fit and take exercise and Zorb football is one of the most fun ways of doing this.

“It’s a great idea for a party for children and adults and for many people who may not have taken part in team sport or exercise for some time it is a great way to get back into sport. It certainly puts more fun into football and it has proved very popular so far.”
