LAUNCESTON Tae Kwon-Do held their annual awards night at Trethorne on Friday, February 15 to celebrate the last year and their successes.

Five awards were presented which were as follows:

Award for Outstanding Achievement — Nadine Wright; Senior Student — James Naylor; Junior Student — Emma Fraser; Most Improved Student — Kaitlyn Garrod; Students’ Student — John Titley

Nadine Wright’s Award for Outstanding Achievement was in recognition of gaining nine A passes at colour belt gradings, the highest possible accolade.

Thanks and gifts were given to Helen Naylor and Lucy Hunt for running the club cafe at gradings, proceeds of which go towards club funds. James Naylor presented instructor Paul Bunn with a gift from the club in appreciation of all the work and effort he has put into running Launceston Tae Kwon-Do and making it such a success.
