Ross-on-Wye U11s played host to Canon Frome on Sunday, June 14th. Playing twenty20 format cricket for the first time Ross won the toss and elected to bat.

Tom Skerrett (22) and Chloe Tingle (3) did sterling work in surviving the opening bowlers and the Ross total was soon moving along nicely.

With Tom and Chloe being dismissed in quick succession by excellent catches, William Morris (18) and Mikey Nixon (15) came to the crease scoring a spate of fours. William was also out to a catch, whilst Mikey hit his own wicket when swinging at a wide ball. No more wickets would fall with Jed Sarjant (15 not out) and Tom Moore (three not out) completing the Ross innings and setting a target of 143 to win for Canon Frome.

Things started well for Ross with Chloe taking the wickets of the Canon Frome openers and Jed Sarjant dismissing their captain with his first ball.
