Whitsand Bay Golf Vets held their monthly medal competition on what was a lovely sunny day, and the results were:

Division 1: Winner with net 67 Alan House, with Trevor Bean runner-up on net 69.

Division 2: Winner was Fred Williamson with a net 72, followed by Brian Major on 72.

In the supporting stableford competition Ben Lines took first place with 36 points on countback from Micky Shone also on 36 points.

On May 19 the veterans competed for the Jim Maddever Trophy when the winner was Alan House with Ben Lines runner-up. Nearest to the pin winners for a bottle of wine were Trevor Bean on the 10th hole and Fred Williamson on the 12th.

A special prize, another bottle of wine, was presented to Paddy Young for the 'most golf played' on the day.

Finally, in the supporting four-ball better ball competition, the winners were Alan House and John Fisher with runners-up Alan Wells and Brian Major
