TWENTY-SEVEN students from Callington Community College attended the Year 7 and 8 Cornwall Schools Athletics Championships at Par Running Track on Tuesday, June 11.

With 22 schools entered, there were some very challenging races for students to compete in, with some of the best athletes in Cornwall taking part.

All students competed well and managed each time to finish within the top three of their heat.

Special mention must go to Annabel Colwill, who won the Year 7 200m heat and was third overall; Dan Paton, who won the Year 7 70m hurdles heat and second overall; and Leion Cole, who won the Year 8 shot putt competition.
