AS ONE of the region's strongest clubs, it is no surprise to see Kilkhampton FC once again vying for silverware in the Hodgson's Insurance Kingsley League. Manager Paul Bunning, working alongside Stuart Cann, has ensured last year's efforts, which saw the club finish third in the table, haven't been in vain, despite changes in playing personnel. The coaching staff's optimism has not been misplaced, as Paul explained: "Due to many changes, with players retiring and the introduction of a lot of younger players in their first season of adult football, I suppose we were hoping for a top three finish. "The squad has so far adapted well and a top three finish is still our aim. I'm very impressed with the way the team try and play attacking football. "The friendliness and camaraderie in the squad, and at Kilkhampton as a club, is superb." For the full report, and a round up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.

KILKHAMPTON manager Paul Bunning is optimistic his side can have a strong run-in to the season.
