Club Sailing
A cold murky day greeted the few sailors who turned up for one of the few Sunday morning sails of the year. Dyfan and Richard took club Lasers and were joined by John in his Phantom. Some time later, Jamie in his new Osprey came out to play as well.
The race officer set a short triangular course with a first leg into the harbour. Fast laps were completed in a little over six minutes. After several laps, John took line honours from Dyfan, with Richard retiring hurt and Jamie seeing how good the Osprey was at collecting prawns!
In the second race, John in his Phantom had a stunning port end flyer, with Dyfan and Jamie in hot pursuit some 30 seconds later.
Several quick laps and a few capsizes from Jamie saw John take a double bullet for the day and the South Beach Pavilion Cup, followed by Dyfan in the Laser, with Jamie bringing up the rear.
