Holsworthy Year 9s played their football county cup semi-final match at home last week to a strong St Peter's side, who had travelled from Exeter.
The game started slowly for Holsworthy and they conceded a goal in the opening five minutes after good play from St Peter's.
The rest of the half saw Holsworthy come into the game more and more and they started to stamp authority onto the game.
The defence and midfield started winning the ball more, which meant they could cause more problems for St Peter's.
The breakthrough for Holsworthy came after 25 minutes when Jay Thomas played a sublime through-ball to Josh Parry who outpaced the St Peter's left back and calmly slotted it into the corner of the net. Half time — 1-1.
