BOND TIMBER LISKEARD SNOOKER LEAGUE

The Divisional Knock Out Cup finals were played at Pelynt last week when St Dominick A achieved the Premier Division league and cup double.

The Saints won 3-0 against Looe Social C, although it was a closer match than the scores suggest.

In the Division One final St Neot B came out on top against Essa in a match that went the full five frames. After an even start there was a startling end to the third frame played between the two team captains. Essa's Dan Billing took blue and pink to go seven points ahead of Ivan Hancocks but then went in-off when potting a difficult black. This tied the scores so the black was respotted, when Ivan sank an outstanding straight pot only for the cueball to follow the black into the pocket to lose the frame. Matt Woodward and Aaron Courts were in top form in the next two frames as they closed out the match for St Neot.

The Division Two final started with an outstanding frame between Nick Avis and Andrew Tamblyn which saw St Neot C take an early lead, but the St Germans boys hit back to take the next three frames and the trophy.
