A CHILL in the air greeted participants for the day's racing at Upper Tamar Lake last weekend.
This race, comprising eight competitors, started as a light zephyr, but by the time the five minute gun sounded there was quite a stiff breeze blowing from the northwest — so much so, that Stuart Mealing in his Laser Radial was upended in a surprise gust.
Luckily he righted himself just in time for the start. Jane Chadney and Nicky Buckett, both in Laser Radials, had good getaways alongside Bob Sampson with young crew Nathan Pollard (RS200).
