BUDE Town were knocked out of the Torridge Cup last night as they were beaten on penalties at Torridgeside.

The Seasiders have a crunch SWPL Premier West clash with Wadebridge Town on Saturday as they seek a top-four finish but bosses Josh Allen and Ben Potter named the same side that started the 3-2 win at league leaders Wendron United at the weekend.

The first half was extremely scrappy with the visitors failing to hit the heights of the weekend, but the hosts took the lead when a cross to the far post was put in.

Torridgeside were reduced to ten men when Taren Stacey was sent-off on the hour for an off the ball incident.

Bude missed several chances but eventually levelled as injury-time approached through substitute Mason Tape.

The hosts were reduced to nine men when a player was sent-off for backchatting.

The game went straight to penalties but misses from Scott Piper and Baga Mariko proved decisive as the SWPL Premier East outfit reached the last four.
