CAMELFORD played the host to Bude RFC's second team at their Tintagel pitch on Saturday, February 23.

The crisp dry conditions suited Bude's elusive young backs as they found holes in the Ford's defence at regular intervals throughout the game. The home side had a powerful pack who comfortably won their own ball, but any advantage they gained was countered by the determined tackling of the visitors.

Due to great hooking by Charlie Dicker, the visitors capitalised on their possession and it was centre Phil Horton who was the first to score a try, something he was to repeat twice more in the game.

Shortly after this his compatriot in the centre Ryan Butler weaved his way through several tacklers to score under the posts, but it wasn't until Blaine Wickett powered through for his try that fly-half George Morris got his eye in with the kicking, converting the first of six he scored with the boot.
