BUDE will look to make it back-to-back victories in Counties Two Cornwall tomorrow when they welcome bottom side Bodmin to Bencoolen Meadow (2.30pm).

The Seasiders start as firm favourites against their North Cornwall rivals who have had a tough season so far with player availability issues and a lengthy injury list.

Head coach Sam Parker has used the game as a chance to rest the likes of skipper Will Hockridge and vice-captain Finley Fry who are on the bench alongside another regular starter in Alex Robinson.

The contest also gives Bude the chance to experiment with some fringe players being given minutes and in some different positions.

Bude earned an impressive 17-12 success at St Austell Seconds last week as they saw off a home side who had several players with recent first team experience.

However, with three defeats already to their name and league leaders Camborne Seconds look set to run away with the league, trying to finish as the ‘best of the rest’ maybe more realistic.

After Bodmin, the Seasiders face tough away trips to Perranporth and Newquay on December 6 and 20 respectively, with a local derby at home to Launceston Castles sandwiched in-between.

From last week’s side, Hockridge and Robinson are replaced in the second row by youngster Bailey Fackrell and the returning Chris Hill, while Oscar Davey switches from the left-wing where he’s been in good try-scoring form, to take Fry’s spot at blindside-flanker.

Another of last year’s Colts in Cobi Yelland is selected in Davey’s 11 shirt, while the absence of Olly Denford allowes Josh Rowland to come into the team on the right wing with Ed Hilliam-Cooke moving into the centre alongside Ben Tharme.

A strong bench is rounded off by the return of forward Anthony Kennett who missed last weekend as he joins Hockridge, Fry and Robinson in looking to provide momentum in the latter stages.

BUDE v Bodmin: Will Pharo, Josh Rowland, Ben Tharme, Ed Hilliam-Cooke, Cobi Yelland, Brad Thomas, Olly Mounce; Charlie Firman, Harvey Cholwill, Hayden Chater; Bailey Fackrell, Chris Hill; Oscar Davey, Matt Maniglia, Fred Saxton (capt). Replacements: Alex Robinson, Anthony Kennett, Will Hockridge, Finley Fry.
