CORNISH?All Blacks’ youngsters Fraser Honey and Digby Parsons have been called up to the Cornwall training squad ahead of this year’s County Championship campaign.
Both players have impressed at Polson Bridge as they fight for their National League Three South?West lives.
Honey, who comes from Holsworthy, but is currently sidelined with a broken thumb, has starred with his goalkicking from fly-half, while tight-head prop Parsons, who resides from Fowey, has cemented his place in the front row having come back from university.
Talking to the Post, Honey admitted that it was an incredible feeling to potentially pull on the black and gold shirt in the coming months.
Honey said: “It was one of my goals before the start of the season and I’m delighted to have been picked. Although I’m injured I should be fit in the next few weeks and I’m not going to go down there to make up the numbers, so hopefully I can do well and make it into the team.
“I’d also like to thank the All Blacks for giving me the chance to play regularly over the last couple of years.”
