THE Cornish All Blacks have been dealt a big blow ahead of next Saturday’s league opener at Exeter University with St Ives conceding their final pre-season fixture, which was scheduled for tomorrow.

The West Cornwall club, who are scheduled to play in South West One (West) following an excellent first year back at Step Six, have lost a number of players throughout the close season and informed the All Blacks of their decision last night.

Launceston were looking to build on their impressive defensive improvements shown against National League Two (South) outfit Redruth on August 16.

It means that if no fixture can be found between now and tomorrow, by the time they head to Topsham Sports Ground for their South West Premier bow, they won’t have played a game for 22 days.
