MEMBERS?of Bowood Park Golf Club Seniors' Division played host to visitors St Mellion at their Lanteglos course last week, which, thanks to the hard working green keeping staff, has survived remarkably well from the three month wet period, and can deservedly boast of no closures during that time.

The match, as always, turned out to be a close contest, with some games only being decided at the 18th.

However, the home team managed to secure a five points to three victory.

The 170 yard par 3, 14th, was the choice for the nearest the pin contest, which was won by Steve Steadman for Bowood and Andrew Corfield for St Mellion.
