It was a chastening day for bowlers on the opening day of the 2015 cricket season as no fewer than 10 centuries were scored by batsmen throughout the divisions.

Top of the list was Johnston's Steve Mills, who blasted 169 against Lawrenny in their 329-4. In reply, Mills snared three Lawrenny wickets, but 36 from Joe Kidney and 72 for Steve Lewis gave the home side a respectable 212 all out in the 117 run defeat.

Nic Scourfield has so often been the bedrock of Carew's batting and Saturday was no exception as he scored 100 not out of their 255-4 against Whitland. Rhys Davies also scored 82 not out, while Ian Sefton hit 50.

Whitland then scored 196-8 in the draw, with Dylan Blain, Matthew Webb and Jack Bowen all scoring over 40, while Sean Whitfield took 3-29 for the hosts

Cresselly went down to a 95-run defeat at Neyland as the home side amassed 245-6, with Brad Jenkins taking 4-65. In reply, Cresselly were bundled out for 150.

Newly-promoted Kilgetty had a difficult start to life in division two as they lost by five wickets at Haverfordwest seconds. The visitors lost wickets early on, but were steadied by Geoff Marsh's 76 in their 171 all out. The Town then reached their total for the loss of five wickets as Ross Hardy and Jack Parkinson shared four wickets.

Narberth seconds played well in beating Whitland seconds by eight wickets as they chased down the hosts' 184 all out with ease. David Dunfee hit 110 for Whitland, despite Karmil Sharma taking five wickets, yet 62 not out from Ben Quartermaine and 91 from Richie Adams saw them stroll home.

Barry Evans struck 117 not out for Pembroke in their draw with Hook as they narrowly missed out on a brilliant win, finishing on 256-4 in reply to the hosts' 258-4, while Saundersfoot had an excellent win at Cresselly seconds as they smashed 236-5, with Steve Cook hitting 94 and Sam Franklin 51, and bowled the home team out for 147, as Franklin took three wickets and Neil Powling six.

In division three, Carew seconds hammered Lamphey by nine wickets after bowling the Stags out for 76, while Lawrenny drew with Hundleton, finishing on 138-6 in reply to the home team's 139 all out.

In the derby at Pembroke Dock, the home team scored just 139 all out in reply to the visitors' 236-7.

Division four saw Narberth seconds lose to Haverfordwest thirds, while Pembroke seconds drew with Hook seconds and Saundersfoot seconds going down at home against their counterparts from Llechryd.

Meanwhile, in division five, Kilgetty seconds eased to a 10-wicket win at home to Fishguard, Cresselly thirds drew with Llanrhian seconds, Pembroke Dock seconds managed to gain revenge for their firsts losing to Stackpole by beating the Lillies' second string, while Whitland thirds beat Haverfordwest fourths by 76 runs.

There were no games in division six.
