ON SATURDAY, March 3, the brand new extension at Dunheved Bowling Club was opened, many officials attended, who were welcomed by the club president Mr Graham Davey.

SITA Cornwall Fund Manager, Mrs Wendy Reading formally opened the extension and praised all concerned on this wonderful achievement .

The Mayor Rob Tremain, who attended with his wife Pat, also said a few words along with the President of Bowls Cornwall Mr Roger Priestley.

About 80 people attended the evening; representing  Group 2 was chairlady Mrs Francis Wood and for Kensey Vale Vice-President Mr Ivor Barber and wife Margaret. The president, Graham, went onto thank the builders from DS Construction, Mr Simon Bright and Mr Dan Hore, who did a fantastic transformation of the club with the bar repositioned, and the mens/ladies changing rooms extended, a new disabled toilet and an extended kitchen, this was well applauded.

He then went on and thanked Mr Brian Harris who has completely rewired the club, also to many club members who had given their time in getting the final things put in place inside and out.
