THE weekend of April 14/15 was Launceston Rugby Club Mini/Juniors annual tour to take part in the Bournemouth festival. The festival plays host to over 120 teams from six different age groups from 7 to 12yrs, who gather from all over the south of England including Cornwall and Wales, to compete in one of the largest rugby competitions in the country. Of the six teams from Launceston Rugby Club that travelled to the festival, two made it through to the final of the plate and finished the competition as runners-up. The greatest achievement of the weekend was by the Under-10 age group who returned to Cornwall as glorious cup winners.
