A GROUP of students from Duchy College Stoke Climsland studying the Extended Diploma in Sport (Outdoor Adventure) took part in a MasterChef themed lesson using the state-of-the-art Food Innovation Centre at Duchy College to create an innovative, nutritional, high-energy snack recently.

As part of the students' sport nutrition module, they were tasked with researching and making their own high-energy snack that would be appropriate for outdoor adventure activities.

The group researched pre and post-event nutrition and explored what athletes need before and after they take part in activities such as climbing, kayaking or mountain biking.
