TWO nurses from North Devon are gearing up to take on a mammoth challenge to raise money for The MS Society and Care for Kids North Devon.

From June 4 to 18 this year, Krystle Metherell and Angela Walter are embarking on the momentous challenge of travelling from John O’Groats to Lands End (JOGLE) by doing a duathlon (run, cycle, run) each day for two weeks.

The idea for this challenge came following the death of Krystle’s mum, Annette Metherell, in 2014. Annette had battled with MS for over 10 years and by completing this journey they hope to raise a substantial amount of money for their chosen charities; The MS Society and Care for Kids North Devon.

The total distance for this journey is approximately 990 miles, a tough ask for the two full time local nurses who work at North Devon District Hospital and will be training for this challenge on their days off.

They are currently looking for business sponsors to help them pay for accommodation and other travelling costs with the return of advertising on their website and facebook page.
