ON the face of it, this five try, five-point bonus win over the Kent club at Polson was another confident step up the National Two South ladder, but it may so nearly have been a quite different result.
At the interval the Cornish led 22-10 and three minutes into the second half the gap widened to 27-10 — at this point the win looking a formality. How wrong could that thought be?
