FOUR goals by captain and coach Sam Zala helped secure the West Women's League Berkeley second division title for Lydney Ladies III.
The side went into their last game of the season knowing that a point would see them pip Pucklechurch to the title.
The game was originally meant to have taken place in January but was postponed because of ice.
With the championship in the balance, nerves were a factor and Lydney made heavy weather of things in the first half going into the break 1-0 to the good.
Zala helped with a goal within five minutes of the restart and the Forest side were 5-0 up by the time Dursley got their consolation score.
The other goals came from Judith Lack and Ginny Rayner.
The thirds have gone undefeated all season, winning eight of their 16 games with a squad of some 21 players. The side has also given league debuts to five members of the club's vixens team.
Next season the thirds will play in the first division where they will meet the Lydney II.
