FIFTEEN-year-olds Alistair Prades and Mac Powell of Holsworthy Community College travelled to Nottingham for the Inter Counties Badminton Tournament (ICT) earlier this month.
With a 46-year history and a fiercely competitive gameplay format that attracts over 400 of the best under 17 players from 40 counties each year over 30 courts, the Harrod UK Under 17 County Challenge continues to justify its reputation as one of the biggest junior events in domestic badminton.
Both boys were ecstatic to have been selected for the Devon county team, along with three other boys and five girls, and were looking forward to competing at the highest level of junior badminton in the country.
