FOUR students from Launceston Tae Kwon-Do recently travelled to Bristol for their black belt promotion grading.

James Naylor, Annabel Barnes and Victoria Naylor were attempting their second Dan promotion and Jamie Hunt was attempting his 1st Star Dan promotion. All of them were successful.

For James, Annabel and Victoria it was the reward for four years of dedication. They have trained tirelessly with lots of commitment and plenty of skill.

Annabel and Victoria have also taken a referee’s course, which is a requirement for 2nd Dan promotion for senior students. The grading examiners were five committee members of the Tae Kwon-Do Association of Great Britain (TAGB) consisting of a 9th Dan and four 8th Dan’s.

Jamie passed his star grading, again performing wonderfully to gain his first star.

Launceston TAGB instructor, Paul Bunn, said: “They all performed their grading superbly and were a credit to Launceston Tae Kwon-Do.”
