THE wind freshened through the morning with most of the promised force four blowing.

Upper Tamar was lined with fisherman, which meant choosing a course with particular care and using the long start line two.

Vicki Duncalf was first over by a couple of feet, but James Pollard was already leading by the first mark.

Following were Jane Anderson, Bob Sampson with Sue Murray in the RS200 , Adam Hilton, Paul Anderson, Jane Chadney, Simon Veal with Debbie Fairhead and Paul Whybrow.

That order stayed the same except that Adam capsized at Middle and only caught up as far eighth.
