Home match v Carlyon Bay — Friday, August 30

LAUNCESTON were the hosts when they played Carlyon Bay for the second time this season.

The two sides had played their first leg, at the coastal course near St Austell, and Launceston were beaten by 6 to 2.

Launceston’s plan was to even things up when playing at home. However, this was not to be, because Carlyon Bay won again, albeit by a narrower margin of 4.5-3.5, to secure a 10.5-5.5 overall success.

Nearest the pin prizes were Rob Loughran for Launceston, and Kevin Stone for Carlyon Bay. Launceston’s match captain was Alan Ferguson.
