THE final race of the Cornish Grand Prix series took place in Falmouth on Sunday, November 27.

Following the race, which saw a number of Launceston Road Runners take part, there was a presentation held, thanking all running clubs who help create the 14-race calendar.

Throughout 2016 Launceston Road Runners have continued to do well with plenty of success in the final outing of the year.

There was victory for Jessica Goldberg In the under 20s Mini Grand Prix while Brian Wiles was fastest across the finishing line in the M70-74 category.

There were also third-placed finishes for Jeanette Johnson in the F45-49 competition and Louise Werran in the F35-39 category.

Completion awards for running eight or more of the 14 races also went to John Barnes, Julie Barriball, Darren Evans, Ed Horn, Janet Lathom, Chris Norris, Sarah Swift, Pawel Szymanski and Claire Waters.

Some of the higher placed runners (with the exception of the age group winners) include Ed Horn and Darren Evans who placed 18th and 24th respectively out of 660 men who took part in one or more races of the Grand Prix while Jeanette Johnson and Claire Waters were placed sixth and 15th respectively out of 650 women.

Launceston Road Runners had a total of 213 entries across the 14 races this year.
