CALLINGTON gained a valuable point against draw specialists Launceston on a sunny Good Friday.
Credit to Stephen Blatchford for providing a good pitch for this local derby as Callington continue to battle at the bottom of the table.
This was a cagey encounter following last Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Pennygillam but it was Callington who struck first on 16 minutes with Dave Barker firing in his first goal of the season.
Launceston came back though and five minutes later Sam Davey equalised for the North Cornishmen.
Both sides had chances in the second half but in the end a draw was a fair result with Town in particular the happier as three of their rivals suffered defeats.
