South West Peninsula Division One West
Holsworthy 2
Wadebridge Town 0
A SOLID win in boggy conditions has Holsworthy peering upward to the top positions of Division One West and Wadebridge left slightly nervy position of being in the bottom four.
The groundstaff did a great job to get the game on but it was very difficult for either side to find their rhythm, and Holsworthy deserve huge credit for dominating much of the match.
Marc Bettis twice came close to scoring in the first-half but the hosts would not be denied when two minutes after the restart, Dave Andrew rifled home from the edge of the box.
Holsworthy continued to create the better chances and wrapped up a warranted win when Dom Abbot exchanged passes with James Dart before finishing neatly on 55 minutes.
