LAUNCESTON rounded off their season with a narrow home defeat to St Austell at Pennygillam.

The Saints took the lead through the prolific Mark Goldsworthy from the penalty spot before Sam Davey equalised. However, Harry Evans’ winner before half-time stole the points.

Launceston finish 11th, three points adrift of Falmouth in tenth.

BUDE’S difficult season ended with a resounding defeat by Mousehole at Broadclose Park.

Luke Johnson, Jamie Simmonds and JJ Simmonds were all on target for the West Cornwall side.

Bude end the season third bottom but crucially will play Step 7 football again next season.

Holsworthy 4

ROMANIAN striker Tudor Placinta became the first Holsworthy player in over a decade to score 20 league goals as the Magpies finished the season in style at the Upcott Field.

Despite a poor second half to the season, Liam Dart’s side finished well clear of the bottom two on 38 points.

Dean Chidley was the other home marksman.
