South West Peninsula Premier
Launceston 1
Helston 1
THE points were shared at Pennygillam as ten-man Launceston held on for a 1-1 draw with Helston Athletic.
The Clarets started brightly with Danny Zalick heading against the post, Chris Head missing the target and Tom Long heading over the bar as Launceston wasted a host of chances to take the lead.
Against the run of play, Helston gained a first half advantage through top scorer Mark Goldsworthy whose scuffed shot found the back of the net after Launceston had trouble clearing from a corner.
Shortly after the hour mark, Launceston were back on level terms when Head crossed for captain Liam Tilley to tap in.
Bobby Hopkinson saw red late on, after receiving a second yellow card, but a draw was a fair result.
Stoke Gabriel 0
Camelford 2
THE home side had a day to forget as precious little went right and the visitors departed with the points.
The early exchanges were contested in the middle third of the pitch and the deadlock was broken in the 15th minute when the impressive Dan Balsdon netted.
The remainder of the game was mundane with few chances at either end until the final minute when the game exploded into life.
Patrick Rushton weaved his way into the area where he was hauled down by Gareth McEwan. The Stoke player saw red for his misdemeanour and Rushton picked himself up to rifle the resultant penalty home.

Sticker 3
Holsworthy 0
THE margin of victory could have been better but Sticker still managed all three points with a 3-0 win over Holsworthy.
They dominated the first half but didn’t break the deadlock until the half hour mark when Ben Rosevear scored for the second week in a row.
Liam Dingle then quickly added a second as Sticker went in 2-0 at the break.
The hosts could have added a few more goals in the second half but had to settle for a solitary third goal from Dingle for his brace.
The North Devon Magpies are in for another tough test this weekend when they welcome table-toppers Mousehole to Upcott Field.
The visitors currently sit ten-points clear at the top ahead of Sticker having won 17 out of 18 games.
