Godolphin Atlantic 2

GODOLPHIN Atlantic kept the pressure up on the top sides with a 2-1 win over a resurgent Launceston outfit.

The deadlock was broken in this one, incredibly, after just ten seconds when Godolphin’s Alex Cole latched on to a half-cleared Jamie Lowry cross to shoot low past Launceston’s goalkeeper Ollie Chenoweth.

Lowry got in on the act himself shortly after the half hour mark when his delightful chip left Chenoweth embarrassed and well and truly beaten.

However, Launceston weren’t pushovers and replied just before half-time with Danny Zalick getting the final touch in a goalmouth scramble.

The Clarets huffed and puffed in the second period but failed to find a way past Shaun Semmens, with Tyler Elliott missing a golden chance to bring things level.
