BOTH Holsworthy’s first and reserve teams picked up wins in pre-season on Tuesday night.

North Molton were the visitors to Upcott Field to take on the first team who proved too good as, despite missing plenty of chances, ran out 3-1 winners thanks to goals from Ollie Moores, a trialist and Sam Jago.

The reserves, who secured promotion last term into the North Devon League Premier Division, headed down to Boscastle and took victory by two goals to one.

A superb strike by Kieran Jollow and a match-clinching header from Rhys Streeter were enough.

See next week’s Post for a report on both games as well as a preview of the first team’s SWPL Premier West campaign which gets underway at Dobwalls next Saturday (3pm).
