Devon cup competitions/leagues — Saturday, October 19

IT WAS a strange weekend in the rescheduled Devon cup competitions and in the North Devon and Macron Devon and Exeter leagues.

In the Devon Premier Cup, Bradworthy conceded their home clash with Tavistock Association.

In the Senior Cup, Devon and Exeter League Division Two side Halwill lost home advantage against Exeter-based Winchester due to last weekend’s postponement, and lost 4-1 away from home.

That means from the Post area, only Holsworthy Reserves and Shebbear United remain with their last 32 ties being played next weekend (November 2).

Both teams were scheduled to meet in the North Devon Senior Division on Saturday. However the rain put pay to the fixture.

In the Devon Intermediate Cup, the ties involving Shebbear United Reserves and Ashwater were both postponed for a second time. They will try again on Saturday.

There was just three league games scheduled.

In North Devon Intermediate Two, Darren Williams was on target for Bridgerule Reserves in their 10-1 defeat at their Northam Lions counterparts while in the same division, Morwenstow Reserves’ home clash with Kingsley Wizards was postponed as was Halwill Reserves’ meeting with University of Exeter Fifths in Division Three of the Devon and Exeter League.
