LAUNCESTON made it three wins from five in pre-season last night as they beat Dartmouth 2-0 at Pennygillam.

The Clarets, who compete in SWPL Premier West, had lost to Western League Premier Division opponents Torpoint Athletic and Devon League side Plymstock United in their two opening games before victories over Appledore (Devon League) and SWPL Premier East side Torridgeside on Saturday.

Dartmouth are also in SWPL Premier East, but despite making the long trip down from South Devon on a midweek evening, gave the Clarets a difficult examination.

However, goals from Tom Bullock and Josh Harris ensured Neil Price’s side’s momentum continued into Saturday’s home game with Honiton Town (3pm).

The league season gets underway on Saturday, August 5 when Wadebridge Town visit Pennygillam.
