CAMELFORD head to Elmore tomorrow in the second-round of the Walter C Parson Funeral Directors League Cup looking to continue their superb recent form.

Reg Hambly’s side have won six of their last eight league games, which also included a 1-1 draw at leaders St Austell last weekend, just three days after losing top scorer Bobby Hopkinson to a season-ending injury at Falmouth Town.

Their run of form has seen them move up to eighth in the Kitchen Kit South West Peninsula League Premier West, but will switch their focus to making sure they reach the last 16 against their Premier East hosts.

With Post area clubs Launceston and Holsworthy squaring off on Tuesday night at Pennygillam (7.30pm), the only other side with local interest is in-form Callington Town.

The Marshmen have scored seven goals in victories over Godolphin Atlantic (Newquay) and Liskeard Athletic in the last week to move up to 16th in Premier West, six points above the bottom two.

Like Camelford, they also face Devon opposition as mid-table Premier East outfit Cullompton Rangers visit Ginsters Marsh.

Both sides were in last season’s Premier Division so will know a bit about each other.

After last week’s first ever Kernow Stone League Cup ties were held, the St Piran League (East) returns with Bude Town, Callington Town Reserves and Launceston Reserves and Morwenstow all in action.

Bude, in sixth place welcome Callington to Broadclose Park and are three points behind Launceston who have a tough trip to second-placed Polperro, a team that has notched 54 goals in just ten games.

Morwenstow are in League Cup action at Liskeard Athletic Reserves with the winners facing a trip to Mousehole Reserves in the last 16.

In the East Cornwall League, North Petherwin have the weekend off while St Minver and St Teath are both at home.

St Minver, fresh off a 1-1 draw at Torpoint Athletic Thirds on Wednesday night, face Roche for the third time this season when they welcome the Trezaise Road outfit to the North Cornwall coast, while neighbours St Teath host in-form Torpoint.

It’s also a big day in the second-round of the Bond Timber Cornwall Junior Cup as 11 Post area clubs compete for the right to reach the last 32.

Until the next round the draw is split into east and west.

There’s a cracking tie in prospect at Altarnun as they welcome fellow Duchy Premier outfit Stoke Climsland.

Duchy Three side North Petherwin Reserves have a tough task against Premier high-flyers St Newlyn East at Petherwin Park.

St Breward are doing well in the top-flight of Duchy football and they head to Dobwalls Reserves from the league below.

North Hill will hope the cup can provide a welcome relief from the league when they host Dobwalls’ league rivals Mevagissey.

Other Post area clubs at home include Duchy Premier leaders Gunnislake as they welcome St Stephen Reserves, Duchy Two promotion-chasers Bude Town Reserves against Torpoint Athletic Fourths and top-flight Tintagel at home to reformed Biscovey from Duchy Three.

Duchy Two leaders Southgate welcome Grampound from the league below.

Kilkhampton ply their trade in the Senior Division of the North Devon League and are going well. They head to Duchy Two side Calstock in a battle of the unknown.

Delabole United have turned the corner in recent weeks in Duchy Three. However they face a tough ask at Premier side St Merryn.

All matches in the Junior Cup start at 2pm.

There are a handful of matches in the Cornwall Airport Newquay Duchy League.

In the Premier, third-placed Boscastle head to mid-table AFC Bodmin, while Division One outfit St Minver go to Pensilva.

Week St Mary were edged out at promotion-chasing Nanpean Rovers last Saturday. They are on the road once more this weekend as they head to Lostwithiel Reserves.

The final Duchy League game involving a Post area club is in division three as Bude Town thirds welcome Gunnislake Reserves, who will want to bounce back from their 7-1 humbling at Delabole United last Saturday in the Shoe Boy Duchy League Cup.

In Devon, North Devon League Division Three outfits Ashwater and Shebbear United will try for a third time to get their A&S Paving Intermediate Cup ties played.

Waterlogged pitches have seen their respective ties against Hartland Clovelly Reserves and Culm United Reserves fall foul to the weather over the last fortnight.

Ashwater and Culm have home advantage this weekend with kick-off at both being 2.15pm.

The league cups in North Devon for each division take centre stage this weekend with places in the semi-finals up for grabs.

Premier outfit Bradworthy are in Brayford Cup action when they head to Torridgeside Reserves.

In the Combe Martin Cup for Senior Division sides, Bridgerule, Shebbear United and Holsworthy Reserves are all away from home.

They go to Combe Martin, Fremington Reserves and Torrington Reserves respectively.

Intermediate Two sides Bridgerule Reserves and Morwenstow Reserves compete in The Bill Smale Cup.

Morwenstow head up the A39 to tackle Braunton Fourths while Bridgerule welcome runaway leaders Eastside to Vinnicombe Park.

With Ashwater and Shebbear United Reserves on Devon Intermediate Cup duty but already knocked out, Bradworthy Reserves are the last Post area club standing in the Inter League Three Cup. They welcome Braunton Fifths.

Both Halwill’s men’s sides will look to continue their excellent starts to their respective campaigns in the Macron Devon and Exeter League.

The firsts, riding high in third after last season’s relegation battle welcome second-bottom Clyst Valley Reserves.

Ben Potter’s reserves side, who themselves have eight points from five games, head to Dunkeswell Rovers.

Sunday’s attention turns to the South West Regional Women’s Football League.

Callington Town, top of the pile in the Premier, go to divisional rivals Bideford in the Pat Sowden Cup.

West Division Bude Town have a bye into the second-round of the Bristol Soccerworld Cup.

Callington Town Reserves are on the road on Sunday as they head to RNAS Culdrose in Division One of the Earthbound Electrical Cornwall Women’s League, while St Teath and St Breward both have the weekend off.
