North Devon League round-up

THE North Devon League got underway on Saturday with plenty of Post area clubs in action.

In the North Devon Premier, Bradworthy started their campaign with an agonising 2-1 defeat at Torridgeside Reserves, which saw the hosts grab a 91st minute winner. Connor Edworthy had equalised for Bradworthy.

In the Senior Division, it was a great start for Shebbear United and Holsworthy.

In Intermediate Two, Morwenstow Reserves’ season got off to a bad start as they lost 9-3 at Lynton.

Five-nil down at half-time, the Greens did at least manage to grab three in the second-half, two of which went to Yassen Cook, while the other was scored by Ben Trenaman.

Bridgerule Reserves won 3-1 at home to their Hartland Clovelly counterparts.

Shebbear United Reserves fell to a 6-3 defeat to Park Rangers in Intermediate Three.
