A STUDENT from Sir James Smith's School, Camelford, has been declared the UK's most successful cadet driver of 2013, after winning three out of five top championship events.
The British Open Champion was also a runner up in the Super One Comer Cadet Championship and the MSA's British Cadet Championship, earning him the number two ranking out of almost 50 drivers aged between nine and 13-years-old.
Alex has been a member of the Fusion Motorsport Cadet Karting Team under the guidance and direction of team principal, Dan Hazlewood. Over the past year, Alex has had numerous podium finishes and has become a very popular cadet driver, earning great respect from his fellow competitors.
In this, his final year in the cadet class, 12-year-old Alex has excelled on a limited budget, with his funding sourced primarily from the Bank of Mum and Dad, along with financial support from a small number of sponsor.
