STUDENTS studying golf at Duchy College Stoke Climsland have just returned from a six day sports tour away from the British weather for winter training and to experience life in Portugal.

The students, who are studying the level three Extended Diploma in Sport (Golf) and the Foundation Degree in Golf Operations Management, were able to play a variety of excellent golf courses in the Algarve and competed in competitions against the Duchy College Tournament Golf College students who live in Portugal during the winter term.

The group were given the opportunity to stay in five-star villas on the Pestana resort, with views overlooking the 18th greens. Duchy College PGA Golf Coach Andrew Milton gave the students one to one tuition on the practice range throughout the week.
