BUDE Tennis Club held its annual Generation Tournament on Thursday, July 19. Players choose a parent or an older family member from a different generation, and competed against other doubles pairings in a round robin format. There were eight pairs taking part, split into two boxes. In one box the results were so close, the organisers had to count which pair had won the most games. The result was a draw between Oscar Allen and Conrad (dad) and Jemma Ball and Wendy (mum), meaning it then had to be decided on who beat who — Oscar and Conrad going through to the final.
