NINE students took part in Launceston Tae Kwon-Do’s latest colour belt grading on Saturday, February 3, with John Titley and Lowenna Barnes being awarded A passes.
Vice-chairman of the Tae Kwon-Do Association of Great Britain, Master Michael Dew, who is also an 8th degree black belt, officiated with Titley and Barnes both receiving A passes. The latter was also given the Grading Trophy on a day where the standard was high.
The rest of the students all passed and were informed at training on Monday night.
Students who graded were: Tilly Watson, Joe Seeley, Lisa Pascoe, Shelly Greenaway, Jacob Fry, Luisa Andrade, John Titley (A pass), Tiago Mendes and Lowenna Barnes (A pass and trophy).
Thanks were given to the black belts of the club who gave up their Saturday morning to help out. Refreshments were provided by Helen Naylor, who was assisted by Lucy Hunt. All proceeds went towards club funds.
