AFTER some wet weather earlier in the month, the sun finally came out for Holsworthy Church of England Primary School's sports day at the end of June.

The whole school, from the Reception class to Year 6, participated in nine traditional events, including the egg and spoon, and sack races.

The afternoon finished with exciting track events. In fact some of the sprints and relays were so close a photo finish would have been useful!

Holsworthy Community College students helped run the afternoon and did a fantastic job of demonstrating what the pupils had to do at each station, whilst encouraging the younger competitors.
