Visitors to the Royal Cornwall Show are being given a double sporting treat this week.
Today (Friday June 5) football fans will be able to admire the prize which has been held victoriously by some of the best footballers; the Barclays Premier League trophy.
The iconic trophy can be found at the RABI stand (number 291), and visitors will be welcome to take a selfie with the prestigious award.
The Barclays Premier League Trophy was crafted in 2004 when Barclays became title sponsor of the Premier League. Due to its value the trophy is always flanked by two security guards when on display as it is officially classed as 'priceless'.
The trophy was won for a record 20th time by Manchester United at the end of the 2012/2013 Barclays Premier League.
Christopher Riddle, Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association secretary, said: 'We are thrilled the Barclays Premier League trophy will be at the show this year.
'It's a fantastic opportunity for football fans all over the county to see one of the most famous trophies in sport.'
Then on Saturday, rugby fans will be able to show their appreciation to the county's victorious rugby team when the players mark Sunday's triumph with a lap of honour at the Royal Cornwall Show this week.
The Bill Beaumont Cup will be paraded by members of the winning team in the show's main ring at 3pm on the last day of the show.
The Cornish side were crowned County Champions for a fourth time after beating Lancashire 18-13 in the tense final at Twickenham.
Mr Riddle said: 'Rugby is as much part of the Cornish way of life as the Royal Cornwall Show is.
'It seems right to bring the two together by inviting the Cornwall team along to the show to show off the cup and lap up the deserved applause in the main ring.
'There should be a big crowd gathered to show them all how proud we are of their achievement.'
