A 60 RUN win over Newquay at Grampound Road secured Werrington's sixth Clive Rosevear Insurance win, with man of the match Alex Smeeth in top form. Alex and brother Ben scored 40 in six overs before the latter was dismissed by Jon Hancock for 17. Alex went on 23, and Paul Smith and Adam Hodgson followed on to put the score at 91-4. Sam Hockin and Tony Goodin added another 52 — 37 coming off of the last two overs. Alex Smeeth stifled the Newquay batting attack from the off with successive maiden wickets. Joe Crane was stumped by Nick Lawson, while Martin Pearce was bowled, both without scoring. For the full report, and a round up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
