THE Upper Tamar Lake Sailing Club and South West Lakes Trust, celebrated 'Push the Boat Out Day' by encouraging people of all ages and abilities to get out on the water on Saturday, May 18.

The RYA (Royal Yachting Association) sponsored the event nationally and asked sailing clubs and organisations across the country to encourage as many people as possible to try watersports following the growing interest with the success in last year's Olympics.

The sailing club had run the day just for its own members last year, but this was the first year that the event was open to everyone.
